Research CME Series: Skill Development for Research and Professional Growth

This course is designed to equip participants with essential skills for effective research communication and professional growth in healthcare, supporting their ongoing clinical, professional, and research development.

The arrangement of the courses, some formerly part of Research 101 and Research 201 series, is updated regularly to continually introduce emerging PA/PA student researchers to key skills designed to advance their research goals.


Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of these activities, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate strategies for enhancing research presentation skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of various platforms such as Excel, and data visualization techniques to communicate the importance of your data
  • Define a successful mentor/mentee relationship and apply them to your own professional and research development
  • Assess the importance of networking for professional growth as a researcher and identify networking opportunities in one's own career
  • Identify ways available funding streams collected by AAPA, PA Foundation, PA Educational Association, and NCCPA Health Foundation could support research to improve your patient care and clinical and professional knowledge
  • Identify the key features of successful grant proposals
