Optimizing Immunization Practices: Your Role, Your Impact
This podcast series focuses on optimizing adult immunization in your practice and includes six episodes discussing numerous topics. In the first episode experts will review and discuss the rationale for continued vigilance in adult immunizations, current rates of immunizations among the adult population. This will also feature information on the overall immunization schedule, including existing resources that highlight recommendations for adults. In the other episodes, faculty discuss vaccination-specific information for COVID, influenza, tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and shingles. Experts will discuss the burden of disease, current immunization rates, recommendations, and strategies to increase vaccine uptake for each vaccination.

Learning Objectives
- Articulate the risk factors, clinical features, epidemiology, and burden of disease associated with prevalent vaccine-preventable infectious diseases
- Recognize patient-specific, provider-related, and systemic barriers to vaccine uptake, and develop strategies to overcome these obstacles in the primary care setting
- Summarize current vaccine recommendations, including available clinical immunization resources
- Select evidence-based strategies to increase immunization rates in their patient populations, considering factors such as vaccine hesitancy, patient education, and workflow integration within the primary care setting
