Clinical Dialogue: Best Practices for Vaccine Co-Administration in a COVID World
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted healthcare directly through high mortality and hospitalizations, but also in many indirect ways not fully appreciated. Routine preventative healthcare measures are key to modern healthcare systems, but they have been
pushed aside during these trying times. Routine vaccinations, such has influenza and various pediatric immunizations, have decreased markedly during this pandemic. This activity addresses strategies and practices to help support appropriate vaccination
administration as we all continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the conclusion of this activity, the PA should be better able to:
- Apply understanding of the updated CDC recommendations for the co-administration of vaccines with SARS-CoV-2 vaccines
- Incorporate knowledge of SARS-CoV-2–specific and general barriers to vaccination across populations
- Use effective strategies and tactics to keep patients current on preventative healthcare diagnostics and therapeutics, including vaccinations
