Burnout Webinar: Life on the Frontlines of the COVID-19 Pandemic: 1 Year Later
PAs have been on the frontlines in the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar was developed to check in with the two PAs who shared their experiences caring for patients with COVID-19 and to encourage PAs to learn about strategies used to meet the clinical demand for the care of patients infected with COVID-19. The webinar is also intended to help PAs identify the psychological risks for providers during a pandemic and help them recognize the early signs of distress and identify the resources to cope with these challenges.
Learning ObjectivesUpon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the clinical and psychological challenges faced by providers during the COVID-19 pandemic
- Review strategies to cope with provider stress and burnout
- Identify opportunities and strategies to optimize the PA workforce during a global healthcare crisis
