Peer Reviewing for PA Journals

This activity provides PAs and PA faculty with an orientation to the responsibilities and expectations of peer reviewers for PA-oriented journals and the important role that peer review plays for these journals. Methods and strategies discussed and demonstrated includes best practices and creating a valuable peer review. Participants will have an opportunity to practice the described skills by peer reviewing a manuscript and gain valuable skills associated with publishing and peer review. Publication of articles and the scholarly review of submitted manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals are widely accepted and valued forms of scholarship among institutes of higher education. Scholarship can be an important responsibility and expectation for faculty members and clinicians alike.
