Burnout Webinar: Life on the Frontlines of the COVID-19 Pandemic

PAs have been on the frontlines in the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar was developed to share the experiences of PAs caring for patients with COVID-19 and to assist other PAs learn about strategies used to meet the clinical demand for the care of patients infected with COVID-19. The webinar is also intended to help PAs identify the psychological risks for providers during a pandemic and help them recognize the early signs of distress and identify the resources to cope with these challenges.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the clinical and psychological challenges faced by providers during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Review strategies to cope with provider stress and burnout 
  • Identify opportunities and strategies to optimize the PA workforce during a global healthcare crisis
