Clearing Up Atopic Dermatitis: Identification, Assessment, and Treatment

While more than 70% of patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) are treated in the primary care setting, many clinicians have a suboptimal level of knowledge regarding determination of diagnosis and/or severity of AD. This activity outlines the identification, assessment, and treatment of atopic dermatitis.

Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Evaluate images of rashes to identify and diagnose AD
  • Assess severity over time using a multifactorial approach
  • Select (or refer for) appropriate treatment for AD, based on patient characteristics and available data on therapy options
