This activity outlines the definition, management, and treatment of distributive, or septic shock with attention to the Sepsis 3 Guidelines.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize distributive shock and the goals of the Surviving Sepsis and the Sepsis-3 campaigns.
  • Select the appropriate interventions for septic shock.
  • Identify clinical responses to determine appropriate interventions in the patient with septic shock.
